I’m noticing a trend with headers: they’re getting bigger. Some of these take up the majority of the space ‘above the fold’. I guess it needs to be stunning if you’re going to give it that much real-estate. Nice work one way or the other.
My web developers are so passe` there is no excitement when a potential buyer clicks on my webstore. I know, I’m talking banners, not headers but think about it. What peaks your curiousity enough to actually look. A picture of course. Worth a thousand words. If first glimpse shows only part of the picture, its a sure bet it will get opened just to view the rest of the pic. From there in, its your job to hold their attention

Thanks for the inspiration. I think websites headers are the most difficult element to perfect in web design. They are also the most important element on the page as that is what the eye is drawn to first.
